HAs anybody tried reloading 168 grain matchkings for their 300wsmags. If yes then I would like some comments.

This just a load to punch some paper and i am strickly looking for accuracy loads.

Sierra does not recommend MatchKing bullets for hunting applications.

This is out of Sierra's Manual for 300WSM, 165gr HPBT, 165 SBT and 168 HPBT Matchking.


I personaly like Ramshot Hunter in my 300WSM. Excellent accuracy and velocity with 165 and 180gr loads.

With the 168SMK, WLRM primer, 55 grains of Varget or 54 grains of H4895, OAL of 2.95" (just barely touching the lands in my rifle) gives me .6-.75" accuracy regularly in my factory barreled M70.
