Saw an ad someone trying to sell a custom rifle in 6.5/270. Did I miss that one or is it a 25/06? JL.

Do you mean the owner doesn't know what he has (it includes dies) or that your cal is the same but with a different name?? JL

6.5-270 and 6.5-06 would be almost identicl, with only a slight difference in shoulder angle/location. 25-06 uses a .257 bullet 6.5-06 uses a .264 bullet (at least on this side of the pond, in the past 257 and 6.5 were sometimes considered to be the same) 270Win uses a .277 bullet 280Rem uses a .284 bullet

Well stop looking folks. In Carts.of the World No.10 Hard to find but in the proprietary section "6.5/270 JDJ (JD Jones has heaps.) Including for eg a 25/06 JDJ, so I wasn't far out. The difference? "virtually indentical" according to Cart.of the World. I believe proprietary mostly means you have to buy/hire the chamber reamer from Mr JDJ. Also apparently same book says 6.5 nomenclature coverers from .257 to .265, depending on who is designing what. So what's wrong with these people that a 6.5 x 55 or a .270 isn't good enough?? Sir, just noticed your bye line/ end piece whatever, about the Blazer, I've never seen more than photos, but what about that other stuff comming out of Europe, that takes down, folds up, folds out, does everything but look like a Rifle, and costs more! JL
