Difficult time finding loading data for the 470 NE. I have done a search here, and come up with a bit of info, but need info on 500 grain loads with H-4350 and some info on reduced "plinking" loads. The info I find in books, internet etc varies greatly for the H4350 It goes from a start load of 93 to 104 and a max of 109-114. So which is it? I bought some 325 and 400 gr hornady rounds for pig shootin' and such. Anyone have any good info on loads for these bullets? Thanks guys.

YOu can buy A-Square's reloading manual "Any Shot You want" from http://www.amazon.com. The Swift reloading manual also has 470 NE data. Or you can use use the standard load of 87.0 grains Reloader 15 with Federal 215 primers and a 500 grain Woodleigh bullet. Be sure to use either a dacron filler or a Kynoch foam filler. With the 325 and 400 gr. bullets, I would use XMP5744 powder, starting at about 50 grains and working up in 5 grain increments. You should find regulation at about 60-70 grains. No filler needed.

The 500 gr cast load for the Searcy runs 40 to 45 grains of 5744 with no filler. 40 gr makes 1500 fps and regulates nicely in my rifle. Recoil is negligable and the load takes down white tails instantly. Ray's slightly lighter load with 85 grs of RL-15 behind a 500 Woodleigh and 5 grains of dacron fiberfill II makes 2100 fps in my rifle and regulates well. Is very comfortable to shoot.
