someone has to know this but so far have been unable to get advise.
Ackley in Semi-auto: can you? should you? and WHY
Example .223 in modified AR. Will you experience feeding problems?

I don't have any hands on experience,but I have been informed,that most semi auto's are designed for bottle necked cases.I don't think I would want to use cases with 40 and 35 degree shoulders in them.I don't know if any smiths modify semi auto to handle the sharp shoulder.

I've never seen an Ackley cartridge done on a semi-auto. I don't think they would feed very reliably. However, I saw a Rem 760 pump action in 35 Whelen Ackley Imroved sometime back, so I guess it's possible. FWIW - Dan
