Hello, I am being sent 100 NIB Remington 308 BR brass with a small primer. I shall be forming these cases into a slightly smaller case. As I understand it Remington made a single run of these cases back in the '80's. Has anybody made a direct, objective comparison as to uniformity with this brass and say, Lapua 308 Palma? Thanks, Gene So

Are you referring to 30 BR ? I do not believe Rem made 308 w/ a small primer pocket. I could be wrong. Does LaPou make 30 BR brass ?

They sure did. Its what the guys used to form 7mm BR brass for the factory chambered XPs before Remington came with 7 BR brass.

Remington URBR(308 small primer pocket) brass is very consistent @155gr weight. The first run was manufactured with .062" flash holes that wasn't conducive with 155gr projectile/47gr 308Win loadings resulting in problematic ignition under cooler conditions. Latest production(early '90's) URBR brass was manufactured with .075" flash holes. Lapua Palma brass is manufactured with +.060" flash holes. I run Rem URBR brass in all my .22-250,.243,.260,7mm-08,.308 & 7.62x51 chamberings.
