For loading at the range use a powder measure. You can use a digital to check weights of your powder throw through the measure. The digital scale can be protected from wind currents out there by taking an appropriately sized Tupperware container and cutting the bottom out of it. Many of your benchresters use this method for range reloading and it works for them. | |||

Bob338, That's what I had in mind. I have lots of powder measures (Lyman 55, RCBS, CH, Lee, etc), but I am looking at a Harrell/Culver unit for the range. The digital is just for load development and verification. The Tupperware container sounds like a good trick. I had been thinking about what to use for this, but why re-invent the wheel .
