Suggest you slug your barrel before assembling any loads: my .22 HP barrel in my Model 1899 Savage actually has a .224" groove diameter. Yours might be the same, in which case, see if you can get some of the heavier Speer bullets. Paladin | ||

I'm curious Palidin, over the years I've had a few 22hps & never had one with a 224 bore could yours be a very high serial #? I would think with a bore that size it would be a very desireable rifle! | |||
