A couple others to look at are the H4350, mentioned above, and the RL-16 which is a newer powder.

I like both but Rl-16 is my favorite in 6.5CM

H4350 is my go to powder, but I recently obtained some Reloder 17 to try.

I'm using Hndy 129g SST
Wanted to try H4350 but don't have any.
Had Varget so loaded some up over 39g, we'll see how that works.
Read some good things about R17, R26 and IMR 4451, but have none of those powders in my supply at this time.

You'll find the 6.5CM to be very, very easy to load for. My "sweetspots" over the past couple of years have evolved into these:

120 gr bullets
Varget

130-140gr bullets
IMR 4451
H4350
RL16
RL17

147 gr bullet
RL26

Win 760 gave me best groups and velocity. H4350 close 2d.

I have been loading 130 gr Swift Scirrocco with 43.2 gr of R16. I get 100+ fps greater velocity with no signs of excess pressure than I get with R15, IMR 4350, IMR 4064. I have a question for those of you with more experience. My rifle groups anywhere from 3/8" to 3/4" with that load at 100 yards. At 200 yards, it is more like 4". What's wrong? Are the bullets not fully stabilized? The barrel has a 1 in 8" twist, which is normal for 6.5CM. Any thoughts? BTW, I plan to try 120 gr Swift A-Frame and see if that helps.

I have a couple and they digest RL-26 really well with 140's through 147's.

I load a few 129 LRAB's at over 3000 with RL-17.

Pretty easy to load them and make 'em shoot well.
