I've read about problems with high port pressure
on the M-1. Would slow powder like Re22,cause any
problems? I know that there is no op rod like a
M-1. Any help would be great.

Hello,

If you already have the gun, the best way is to load a round or two and try it in the gun.
The rifle uses gas impeding system like an AR-15, and I don't think Re22 will cause any danger.

RE22 is WAY TOO SLOW for use in the Garand!! Never use any powder slower than 4064 or 4895, and you will have no problems!! RE22 will NOT BE DANGEROUS, but you COULD end up with a bent operating rod. It's not worth it!!

Elde,

I'm not using Re22 for my M-1. I know it's way too slow. The gun I was asking about is the Swedish AG42. The gas system is about the same as the AR-15. Thanks anyhow.
