0X0General "Go To" Powders In Stock?
Go To Powders --
The stuff that you keep stocked and use for most calibers.
I like Hodgdon. I like the canisters. I started with it and have never felt compelled to shop around. I have a Hodgdon Manual from Day One of reloading. That might be a factor.
HC-110 for magnum pistol. I have 44 Mag., couple handguns, carbine. I tried 2300, but this stuff works better for me. More velocity, lower pressures.
HS-6 Handgun ammo. I load 38/357, 45 ACP. It works for 44 mag. but see above. It was out of stock and I picked up some Win. 231, but haven't used it.
H-4895, for rifle. Seems like there's a load for any caliber. I do 30-06, .308, 30-30, 45/70, .458 Lott
Pyrodex for BP, Goex for the cannon, but that's not really "reloading."
