Just got a 300 WM for christmas and was thinking of RL22 for powder and 180 NP. Any favorite loads you want to share with any powders? Thanks.

Excellant Powder choice. My pet load is 73.5Gr's of RL-22 behind a nosler 180Gr.Partition. As always be safe and reduce this load and work back up good luck with the new Mag.

My favorite for a 180 is: IMR-4831 From 59.4 grains to 75.5 grains Winchester WLR Primer But, RL-22 From 63.5 grains to 77.0 grains Winchester WLR Primer works okay... What I really like is: Bullet: Sierra 200 Grain Hollow Point Boat Tail Powder: 71.7 grains of IMR-4831 Primer: Winchester WLR Case: Winchester Firearm: Ruger 77 Velocity:2,986 @ 15' from muzzle

I shot a 300 Win Mag for many years. Best accuracy always came from Re 22. 73.5 pushing just about any 180 grain bullet, with the Nosler BT and Barnes X being particularly accurate. Velocity out of the 24" barrel was 3000 FPS plus. I tried some RE 25 and that worked well. Unfortunatly, I had about 5000 round through the barrel and accuracy fell off. I traded the rifle. I now hunt with a 300 WSM and took 3 deer with it. Accuracy is excellent and it was easy to load for using RE 22 and 180 grain BST.
