wheelgun 101. It makes a difference which handgun you are using, mainly because of the cylinder length. If your gun is a standard super blackhawk , with the SSK 320 TCFN and a OAL of 1.730 try the following, these are MAX loads reduce 10%. 16 gr. of AA9, 17 gr. of 2400, 18 gr. of 296, 18 gr. of H110, 18.2 gr. of H4227. These loads give 1100 to 1200 fps. with 4 5/8 inch bbls., and 1200 to 1300 fps. with 7.5 inch bbls. If you have a ruger redhawk or super redhawk you can extend the OAL to 1.795, and load up to 22.3 gr. of H110 for about 1400 fps. in a 7 1/2 inch bbl. I hope this gives you a starting point...

I have a ballistic cast 340 grain lfn mold and I can seat out to the second crimp grove with this bullet I shoot it behind 20 grains of 110 and it shoots great. BEWARE THIS IS A MAX LOAD not just a warning. Primers just starting to flatten a little.

NE 450 No2,
Thanks for reply,i started with 19 grains of 296 up to 21 now.Groups were better at 19gr than 21 gr.I'm shooting a ruger SRH 9 1/2" tube. The O.A.L. is 1.780" no sign of pressure yet cases fall out primers are still round.
