Glad to see that everything turned out ok. I would have used the powder and not worried about erratic ignition since the mixture was so slight. I have a white board on the wall and I post all of the current load info on it. This helps reduce mistakes like this.

What kind of accuracy did it give you?

Accuracy was an inch to an inch and a quarter with the 300 winnie. I did take it up to 2890 fps and all seemed well. I chose to stop there using the 200 gr bullets. I don't think I will be able to tell any difference. I may have gotten 100 % of the re 15 out with the first pound or two. Lord takes care of drunks and fools. I am going for double coverage. Good hunting.

Although cartridge selection is important there is nothing that will substitute for proper first shot placement. Good hunting, "D"

I almost did this a long time ago - that's when I began keeping only the powder I'm using nearby - everything else is put away out of sight. No chance of mixing powders that way.

I know it's Monday morning quarterbacking, but I'll at least give you credit for fessing up - we all learn from others mistakes.

PS - next time it happens try vaccuming off the top - less chance of mixing. Razzer

Yep that mauser saw a load generating
ac.u.p. of probably 150,000 of presure.

It might have made his ears ring and hand
hurt but I am sure he will be more attentive if he did mix the powders,or buy it at a yard sale. shame

I wouldn't get a large mess of powder too close to the sparks generated by the motor of a vacuum cleaner...
