I have been told that Steve Hornady made up a 30-376 for himself that pretty much duplicates the .300 WM.

I've also read in these forums that Z-Hat is making a 416-376 for a customer, but have been unable to find out more info.

When developing the new case, Steyr-Mannlicher had a vision of building a family of cartridges on the .376 Steyr case from 6.5mm to .416 caliber. Perhaps with a little encouragement from .376 Steyr fans they might revive those plans. On the other hand, perhaps it's already too late, given the Rem and Win short magnums have a substantial lead in the marketplace.

I just figured that if "short & fat is where it's at". Then someone must be trying to seat a 7mm bullet on top of the Steyr.
