CoolGood day at the range today. A friend of mine, a long time shooter and reloader was shooting his 6mm BR.He shot his fourth shot into a really small group. Upon extraction he noticed that the case was badly swollen. examination of the primer revield that he had just fired a 6mm ppc in his 6mmBR.
Roll EyesNot as bad as throwing a double charge of fast burning powder but an error just the same by an old time safe shooter and loader.

Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

I loaded up some 150 Berger VLDs in my friend's 270 with a 3 groove Lilja on it. Using H4831SC, we're up to 57.5 grains without a hitch. Velocities have been quite impressive ending with a 3 shot string at 2990 with the 24 inch tube. The best group was 56 grains at 2934, 2940, and 2937. I changed the seating depth so we'll see what happens. Glad your buddy is ok.

Only the 4th shot was a ppc, or all 4?

None of us are fool proof.

Yet some of us are full of proof !. An yet some of us are proof we're full of it !.

No one is infallible let me assure each and everyone of us of that fact in life .

I haven't had so much as even a beer in the last two months and I've been taking pretty much the same

medication over the last 6 years . I sort and load the pill caddy myself ,so yesterday I inadvertently took a

Dbl dosage of one of my Meds . NEVER done that before . As the saying goes Shit happens ;

Dealing with it is the sign of maturity and as age creeps up it gets UGLIER !.

Sat. Night I'm setting down and cracking a couple of home brewed summer ales or my new Stouts,

as the aging process was completed about a month ago . beer
