This is a Ruger #1B with 26" factory barrel.
It has the "Hick's accurizer" and a Moyers trigger. My fireforming loads consist of :

40gr Nosler BT, 28 gr Win 748 @ 3650 fps shot at .75" at 100 yds

50gr Nosler BT, 26.5gr Win 748 @ 3450 fps shot .35 at 100 yds

My actual ackley loads consist of:

40 gr BT 31gr 748 at 4040 fps!!!! ...shot .7" at 100yds

50 gr BT at 3650 fps also shoots well.. I do not remember the charge right now.

All loads use Fed 205 match primers. I am sure I can get the 40 gr BT into a smaller group. I just have
to play with the Hicks Accurizer a bit, and turn that screw to adjust barrel tension until I get the sweet
spot!

Well what do you think? [Big Grin] [Eek!] [Eek!]

I think the 223AI is my favorite 22 centerfire. I like H-335,for both 40's and 50's.

As you find the sweet spot and dabble more at the loading bench, relate your impressions and experiences...................
