Has anyone tried RL-25 in their 300H&H with 180 or 200 grain bullets?

I've tried it in a .300 Win with both 180's and 200's. Velocity has been fully satisfactory. Can't speak to accuracy. I have not gotten fully satisfactory accuracy from this particular gun yet with other powders either, so I can't blame the powder. With the slightly smaller capacity of the H&H, RL-25 might not give optimum velocities, but it won't miss by much. It's really only a just a tad slower than RL-22.

Yes I have, but found that in my particular M 70, Rel 22 worked better. There sure is no reason not to give it a go. Remember, forgivness is easier to get than permission.

RL-25 From 66.9 grains to 79.2 grains Winchester WLR Primer RL-25 From 65.5 grains to 73.5 grains Winchester WLR Primer I found RL-22 to be a better choice for the 180 and AA-4350 for the 200.

I am getting excellent results w/ RL-22 right now. This weekend I shot a 5 shot group that was one ragged hole at 100 yards and the chronographed velocity was 2821fps with a 200gr Nosler Partition. The rifle is a pre-64 M-70 Supergrade with a 26" barrel (it shoots like a varmit rifle). I was just curious about what it would do with RL-25 and where to start.

Accuracy should be just as good........will be interesting to see if you get that much more velocity. Verbera!, Iugula!, Iugula!!! Blair.
