OK, I'll start the ball rolling. I have some extra loose bullets some are 20 years old (mostly Hornady) others are newer.

I don't want to sell these as handling checks, money, etc. is a PIA. I want to swap with other people who want to try different bullets in their guns.

Here's my list by caliber, make, style and the number I have for trade.

22 cal (224)
Hornady 50 grain SX- approx 25

243/6mm Cal
Hornady 100 grain Spire Point – approx 25
Speer 90 grain FMJ - about. 35
Nosler 85 grain Partition -about 40

257 Cal
Sierra 87 grain Spitzer – about 25

284/7mm Cal
Hornady 120 grain SSP (Single Shot Pistol) – about 70
Hornady 139 grain SP Interlock – about 60
Hornady 139 grain SST Interlock – about 60
Speer 130 grain Spitzer SP – about 35
Nosler 175 grain Partition – about 15
Barnes 140 grain XBT – 5

30 Cal
Hornady 150 grain BTSP Interlock- about 15
Hornady 165 grain BTSP Interlock – about 15
Hornady 180 grain SP Interlock – about 40
Nosler 165 grain Partition – 12

375 Cal
Hornady 270 grain SP Interlock – 7
Nosler 260 grain Partition - 16

I'm looking for 264/6.5mm hunting bullets, 375 hunting bullets and 22 varmint bullets.

Fjold,
I like your attitude on this and I too have a lot of bullets I'd like to trade but in so many cases the postage plus the packaging and trip to the Post Office is more than an entire box of 100 costs at the reloading shop.

The best thing might be to put up a poster at the local reloading shop to see if someone locally has something to trade.

Well if we are talking about swapping a few here and there for trials I am in as well. I have some 30 cal bullets.

150 grain spire point bullets
150 grain nosler ballistic tip

Thats all the extra I have right now.I have not been loading for very long. Anyone want to try some let me know I can send a few out for trial purposes to keep you from buying a whole box and not liking them. I think that is the intenet correct?

WELL GUYS, This looks like it could be a real opportunity here for us to scratch each others backs. WE MIGHT WANT TO START a special site for this. We all buy bullets and we all end up with stuff that doesn't shoot in our cannons. Maybe we should set up some ground rules and make this a forum? I did see someone trying to do this on a commerical bases and I thought he had a good idea. I emailed him and never heard back.
Many of us are not located near a good cheap source of suppiles and must pay freight anyway so why not.
Thoughts?

I've proposed the point of a site to Saeed but got no response. Swapping makes a lot of sense, ew alreadyu paid for the bullets & only have to pay for shipping to get to try something new instead of parting w/ $25+ fo premiums taht won't shoot (BArnes).

Fjold--

What do you want to hunt with the .375? I have plenty of 250g and 300g Sierra SBT's if they help. I have a pretty good collection going on...if you want to trade some of my 270g TSX's for some of those 300g ones you've been doing so well with---

Great thread, great idea. Count me in. I've got a pretty good stock in .257, .284, .308, and I'm working on .375....really to many to post.

Happy Shooting,

Dan

Dan,
I'm ordering more 300 grain TSX's and I want to try the 270 grainers. So when my order comes in I'll trade you ten 300 TSX's for ten 270 TSX's. That way I don't have to pay for a whole box, although with postage to and from Alaska I don't know what we'll be saving.

Smiler

Frank--

Somehow for all the years of reloading I'm not sure I really saved any money... Smiler

...But it keeps me interested, and I do shoot more. PM me with where to send you a small package of interest and I may have a solution to the shipping cost problem.

Thanks,

Dan
