I just bought a can of 2000mr and am looking for loads in the 35 whelen and 358 norma. I understand it is similar in burn rate to r-15, but alliant has no data for the 35's. Anyone else tried it yet? I

I just posted this on another thread. It works really well on my 338 Federal and my 9.3x62. It's the best powder I've used for my 338 Federal for velocity, consistency and accuracy.

For my 9.3, I recently had good luck with Alliant Power Pro 2000MR. Graf brass, CCI primers, 63.5 grains, seated to the cannalure. Velocity was 2525 consistently out of my 20.5" barrel. Accuracy was right at MOA.

It makes sense that is would work on the 35's just as well.

I ended up starting at 55 gr and stopped at 63 grains. It is definitely more dense than r-15 and appears a tad slower. 61 was a sweet spot as was 63 which gave me 2535 with 250's. R 15 never would go this high with my 20" barrel. Never had any signs of excessive pressure. Accuracy at 61 and 63 is sub moa. At 63 there is still room for more, but I think that may be enough! I need an 8lb jug of this! Now to see what it will do with cast boolits
