I'm loading up some .22-250 using virgin Winchester brass. All published data I've seen lists case length as 1.912". My cases measure around 1.904" Is this a problem? Thanks, Lee

LEE No problem. Just shoot them they will grow. Your only .008 short it won't matter a bit. Rich

LDO, its normal for new(virgin) brass to be pre-trimmed. Question is, is every case in the lot the same length ? What I do is measure each case to find the shortest one and trim all the others to that length. After firing, I check each again and trim again. What you are doing the first time you fire new brass is fire forming it to the chamber of that barrel. Try to keep everything consistant and accuracy will follow. I see that you are new to the reloading addiction. <Welcome> I'm fairly new to this myself. Things that have helped me are: Make a list with each step in the order of execution and check off when complete. Be consistant through each phase of reloading. Organize your bench to be user friendly and comfortable. Create a lot # for new cases. Only work with one lot of ammo at a time. Start a log book. Record EVERYHING. Be patient. Accurate ammo is not quick to build. These are just few things I do. Good luck with your new 22-250<envy> *Nut*
