Resizing cases from one size to another

I shoot a 300 H&H. As an experiment this weekend I took a few 300 Weatherby and 375 H&H cases and ran them through my 300 H&H sizing die.

The over all results were good. But on the cases, where the 300 H&H's long shoulder goes into the neck, I got little dents.

I am assuming that when I load and fire these the dents will be pushed out as the cases are fire formed.

Any ideas, concerns or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

My insurance company? Why Holland & Holland of course!

they're just lube dents, they'll popout just fine, jake sure your fireforming loads are full pressure loads, otherwise they may not fully form

Sometimes the vent hole is clogged in the sizing die. It may help prevent dents if you make sure it is clear. Try to use less lube to avoid the dents.
You can also size the case in 2 or 3 steps and avoid the dents. A little practice should make it easy.
