I would not use the Hornady 250 gr bullet in that big 338-378. It is just not designed for such high velocity.

I've used them for years in my standard 338 Mag and 338-06 and 2500 to 2700 fps, and they work great.

can anyone please tell me how hard a bullet is this thing and how large a game would it be suitable for. ive never used them befor and was curious. i would use them in a 338-378

The Hornadys are a little soft for the 338 Win. and way to soft for a 338/378...The 338/378 definately requires a super premium bullet in heavy weights such as a Nosler, GS Customs, Northfork, Swift or Woodleigh PP.........
