What is the useage for the acubond?
Is it inbetween the balistic tip and partition?
Is it designed to hold together better at high velositys than the balistic tip?

OK...The best way to describe it is a ballistic tip that ends up like a partition.

More analytically....

Like a ballistic tip:

It has a very high BC.
It is very accurate.
And the jacket is tapered to control expansion.

Unlike the Ballistic tip:

The jacket is heavilly tapered towards the bottom of the shank.
The lead is bonded to the jacket so there can not be any jacket~core separation.
The ballistic tip expands at 1400 fps the accubond expands at 1800 fps.

Like the partition:

Retains 60-70 % of its weight.
Both expand at 1800 fps.
They do not pancake like the Scirocco.
Both can be used on the same game (ie antelope to big bears)

Hope that cleared things up! [Smile]

GSP, I've tested these in wetpack out of my .280. They penetrate almost as well as the NP w/ sim. weight retention & a bit more expansion. I would use this instead of a BT anyday.

200gr. Accu-Bond .300RUM 250 yd. = 6x7 Elk. One shot drop with bullet entering uphill diagonal at bottom of last rib and bloodshot under front of off shoulder but not exiting. At 0 deg. F. and a long haul out I didn't do any digging for the bullet. This uphill shot would be tough on any bullet considering the path the bullet had to take, plenty of blood was coming from the nose in the few second the elk lived,(dropped in tracks), letting me assume the bullet traveled through the lungs. This was the only shot that was going to present itself and with confidence in the gun, bullet and ability, I made it without hesitation.

Go to midways site and they have a "Remind me" button on the listed item when it is out of stock or coming soon. They will e-mail you the day they get it!
