Seeing is believing and A Special Thanks of Gratitude goes out too Woods !. Here are some shots out of my Tikka 7 mm Rem Mag .With Explanation ; I screwed up and set the Shoulders back WAY TO FAR on this set of reloads ( .014-.016" . I stuck a case and had to remove the die from the loader . Putting it back I FAILED to check it, I had a SENIOR MOMENT OK !. Now what are you going to do break em all down , NOT I !. I shot them . After I remounted my scope ( just to be certain !. ) All right I figured why use the laser ( Bore sight )I'll just shoot in the adjustment . Note targets 200 meters 84 degrees wind 7-10 mph quartering, Bullets 153Gr. HPBT powder load IMR 4831 60.0 & 60.5 grains . COAL my chamber off the lands .020" . OK now check first target scatter city well yes and NO . remember I'm adjusting the scope . Note two extreme right circled that's where I stared from , now note where my LAST SHOT FIRED is circled off center left above bulls-eye . I purposely wanted Plus 1.75" elevation at 200 meters ,so I'm adjusting my scope for it . Now look at First shot fired on the second clean target It's nearly identical impact . So I click the scope and adjust for the last time . I've got # 5 shots left so NO MORE ADJUSTMENTS !. Last target note a Dime for scale covers all #5 . The taped shots down and slightly right are 37 Year old extras !! . I had some OLD Rounds and I don't even remember what they were except they were 175 grain bullets so I thought I would shoot them up !. This is nearly a Box Stock SS Tikka !!!. This is a Hunting Rifle not a tactical !.

Doc, you deserve all the credit. 7 mags are not an easy gun to get to shoot well but you did it. Looks like Tikka, 154 gr bullets, good reloading and you shooting did the trick! ____________________________________ There are those who would misteach us that to stick in a rut is consistency - and a virtue, and that to climb out of the rut is inconsistency - and a vice. - Mark Twain | Chinese Proverb: When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others. ___________________________________

Yes, those "Thingys" cause that kind of avoidable problem. Woods, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Well I can't wait to see what my next grouping does ,as the shoulders will be set back .002" necks sized and lubed with 160 & 168 match fodder . I also will be using RL 22 and RL 17 for the first time . I'm going to use the 153 gr, with that powder and see what's what before moving on to the match stuff . I'm breaking in a New .223 Bolt Rifle over the weekend . So I Will post up my 7 Rem Mag results towards the end of next week !. Have a Great Weekend All !!!.
