I was priming a friend's 7x64 RWS cases on my Lee Autoprime. I have experienced RWS cases having trouble with my various shellholders before, and now the gremlin hit again . Some of the cases are just too large for the standard (.30-06 head size) shellholder. Can anybody suggest an alternative for the Lee Autoprime?? Is there a shellholder just a tad bigger than a .30-06, perhaps something for a 6.5x55?? - mike P.S. Looked on the Lee website, and the regular shellholder for a .30-06 is a #2. The 6.5x55 is listed as a #3 - also listed for various rimmed cartridges. Have any of you used a #3 on either 6.5x55 or even .30-06 head cases?? ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon... Mike: The Lee #3 shellholder I have works for 6.5x55, 7.5x54 and old, thick-rimmed SuperSpeed 257 Roberts and 7x57 brass. Cheers, Al | |||

Yeah, I'd go with the shell holder for the 6.5x55, it's just a couple thousanths bigger, should solve your problem. AllanD If I provoke you into thinking then I've done my good deed for the day!
