what is the favorite case lube for rifle and pistol? Does the best job, easiest to clean off? Dennis

Imperial Die Wax goes on with a fingertip and comes off with a paper towel or old washcloth. I have used it for years, and have never been disappointed.

IDW is an excellent product but I like a spray lube....mine from Lyman which is not at all a favorite by others but it still works for me.

Hornady's one-shot is a fine product as well.

I just use RCBS Case Lube-2. Lube the cases, size them than run them in the turbo tumbler for 15-20 minutes in untreated walnut shells to clean them off.

Imperial wax is easy to apply, and it prevents rust on the die. There is no need to clean and oil your dies after use.
RCBS lube is water based, and makes my dies rust.

I’ll have to look into Imperial wax. I’m not so old that I can’t learn a new trick or 2. I’ve never had a problem with rust in my dies but the air is pretty dry here, compared to other parts of the country.

Imperial Wax is an excellent Redding product. I use Imperial, however, I also use standard case lube and a pad depending on the amount of cases I'm sizing. I also like the Hornady "One Shot" spray case lube for neck sizing buttons.

I have switched from tumbling brass to washing brass in the RCBS Side Winder using automatic dishwasher detergent.
