Well just started reloading. I loaded up my first 200 rounds for my 357 mag last week and have already shot them all. the question I have is i am using unique and 231 powders and i used the cci 550 magnum primers are they ok to use with these powders or will i see better results with the cci 500 pistol primers.

Super short answer: It is O.K.

To expand. the Magnum primers usually have a bit more priming compound and punch for slower powders --2400, 296, 110, etc. They are not necessary for Unique or 231. How well do they work? That is what reloading is about. YOU TEST. If this suits you... At the same time, you/your gun might like the 500's better. YOU TEST. Happy New Yr.
