Why are these two powders so hard to find? They are not to be had within 150 miles in any gunshop. If I purchase from an online retailer I wind up paying more in hazmat fees than the powder costs. What gives?!

don't know how close you are to a Sportsman's Warehouse, but they carry both... on the other hand have you asked any of the gunshops to order you some in, on their regular order from their suppliers?

I must admit, for SR 4759 and Trail Boss, I coughed up for 2 eight pound containers of SR 4759 and one large container for Trail Boss..

also ordered 15 pounds of Blue Dot at the same time... the hazmat fee then was more tolerable in ratio to order size...

I ordered from Powder Valley...

US shooters are primarily hunters and are drunk on speed and performance.

SR4759 is a range shooters niche powder.
It took me many years to shoot up a 5 lb cannister of it. But it was the most fun I ever had with 5 lbs of powder.

I'll be using them for reduced loads in 375H&H and 600 OverKill.
