Just got a set of .308 dies, and was wondering what you fellow's found to be the best hunting load's. I allready have the bullet's.(165gr. Nosler partition's)I will be shooting them out of my Savage 99-C. I personally was thiking of useing RL.-15. Any suggestion's would be appreciated. Thank's: Rick.

Rich, You picked the right one right off the bat, no need to try anything else, if it won't shoot with RE15, it won't shoot with anything, and from what I'm told, RE15 is as temp insensitive as the "extreme" powders from hodgdon. Jay

I like what you plan but let me threow a few thoughts out any way. I use Barnes XLC 130gr bullets over Varget or BLC2 for deer and will be using the 168s for elk if I can make it happen. I prefer the Varget powder with either. Your load looks like a good one for elk. You could probably come down in bullet weight a little (130-150 range) for deer, and that will give you great velocity and range. this is a benefit of the Barnes and its construction. You could very well do that with the Partitionsas they are constructed very well too.
