Sierra reloading manual using Savages
Many of the cartridges in Edition V of Sierra Bullet's Reloading Manual were tested in a Savage rifle including the 22 BR, 22 PPC, 22/250 Ackley, 6mm Ackley, 25/06 Ackley, 7mm BR, 7mm STW, 300 RUM, 375 RUM, etc.

They apparently use Savage actions and change out different barrels for their bullet testing. Their test barrels are a mix of Savage factory and custom benchrest grade barrels -- all using the Savage barrel nut.

gages cam be mounted CIP style in front of the case mouth on short cartridge lenght chamberings. The longer cartridges will take the gage at the center of the chamber for SAAMI std`s same as any rifle. Both methods work and are accepted standards.
