Aren't these two cartridges ballistically similar (but a little lower velocity than) your series based on a lengthened .30-06 case? If so, it seems to me a poor trade to have an action 7/8 inch shorter to give up 2 rounds of magazine capacity. Also, any existing short (medium) action will have to have extensive bolt face and magazine alteration to chamber for the WSM series, while the long Sako, Mauser, Remington, Browing, and others need nothing (except perhaps removing a magazine block).
The Bean counters they hire these days don't have a clue about calibers, guns and whats needed, they just poop in their nest and hope for an incentive award....but they are highly educated idiots...
