Question for the metallic cartridge reloaders in RSA-Namibia. Do you reload powder charges in grams or grains?

We always use grains - never heard of anyone using metric.

With reference to your signature and this topic, why are you obsessed with weight/mass? [Big Grin]

No obsession, (I hope!). Actually, somebody asked me and I didn't have a clue, hence the posting on A-R. Has something to do with a Lee Loader that is going to someone in Namibia. -Matt

Don't the Lee Loaders rely on a volumetric powder scoop (calibrated in cubic centimeters)? The loading data supplied is predicated on using the scoop, not a scale. Moreover the loads are mild enough so you can't get into trouble by following their instructions. (I'll bet some idiot has though.) ...Maven

I use the yellow scoops ocationally but not without knowing how many grains I'm dumping into the cases. If we had a limited number of powders volumetric measurements might work but that isn't the case. I just don't know what 3.6cc of IMR 7383
weighs and LEE doesn't tell me.
