claybusterRe: impact bullet puller and bent tips
Or you could put a piece of balled up paper towel in it. Be way of the forester pullers,,,,they really scratch up the sides ofthe bullets.Clay

Swede44magIf the tip is bent so much for accuracy.

Check into getting a Hornady Cam-Lock Bullet Puller It will also stop your powder from flying all over the place.

hivelositywont hurt them if it bothers you stick the tip in to a small hole and tweak it back.
Put asmall piece of sponge in the bottom of the puller.
I put a chunk of steel wool in mine. super glue hold it in place for a while,.

FurorI have an impact bullet puller and sometimes when I remove a bullet I notice that the ballistic tip is bent. Is it a bad idea to reuse bullets that have been removed with this type of puller or is it not a big deal? There is a piece of cushoning in the front of the chamber but I guess I need to put some more in before I use it again. I have like 40 SST bullets that I have already removed though and on some of them the tips are noticably out of wack. Suggestions?

Jerry/AKI put an ear plug into the "chamber" of the puller. Presto...no more bullet nose damage.

KingfisherWait wait... I know this one! Just switch to full metal jacket for everything! Yeah, that's the ticket. Then you have no tip damage!
Wow, sometimes I amaze myself.

GeronomoI have an RCBS and it has what looks like a 20 gauge shotgun fiber wad in the bottom of the chamber. It looks to be about 3/8 inch thick. You might want to try stuffing one of these wads in the bottom of the puller. I've never harmed a bullet with this puller.
