While a friend agreed to sell me a 1lb from his personal stock...I would really like to buy some AA 2230...would really like an 8 lb keg.

I know this is wishful thinking...but does anyone know where there might be some for sale?

my e-mail is: ledvm@msn.com

Don't forget to look for Ramshot X-Terminator at the same time. They are the exact same powder.

I am not the poster of the above info...but...michael458 did some tests in .458 WM, which is what I want the powder for, and showed they performed almost exactly the same in that cartridge.

From Johan at Western Powders.

Steve,

Yes X-Terminator® and A-2230® is indeed the same product.

However, TAC® and A-2520® is not the same, TAC® being faster burning than A-2520 ®.

If you go to our websites www.accuratepowder.com and www.ramshot.com you will see that the chargemass are lower for TAC vs A-2520®

As you will also see the loads for X-terminator® and A-2230® will be the same

As an example I am attaching the loads for 223Rem and .308Win from both brands.

You can also go t Ramshot and Accurate's web data and compare loads, they are identical.

Thanks, Steve. I wasn't doubting, I just spent too long in the nuclear industry; therefore, "trust but verify" has almost become a mantra I live by.

Again, my thanks. Useful information!

Guys, thanks for the info. I didn't know they were the same powder. I shoot a lot of 2230 in my 450 Marlin. This gives me another choice on the somewhat empty powder shelves.
