Well, the title pretty much tells it all. Can I use some Remington 6 1/2 primers in my 9mm for plinking at the range?

Thanks,

I tried it earlier this year when I couldn't get pistol primers. Worked fine in my Glock 17, but I've been told that some pistols won't have the striking power to set off the harder rifle primers.

I did the same thing using 6 1/2Rem in some 9mm copper plated lead bullet loads loaded to low service type speeds and in several good guns they worked fine with no problems ......again they were not full hot loads and I just loaded a few test rounds to test before doing the 1000 load session....hth...good luck and good loading-shooting!!
