Does anyone have any info about using VV N-133 for 220 Swift loads? Don't laugh - I'm a novice.

Novice or not, no need to laugh. We all have to start somewhere, after all...

I'm sorry I don't have personal experience with the .220 Swift. VV publishes no .220 Swift load data. The next thing I would try, would be

www.reloadersnest.com

Another place to look is on Steve's Pages:

http://stevespages.com/224_4.html

Good luck finding data.

Actually, VV does have some data for the swift, they are using N140 for a 50gr bullet. I can give you a link to this if you like.

reloadersnest show using N135 for a 35gr bullet.

TN133 probably isn't the best powder to use for the swift, unless you have a burning desire to do your own load development.

There may be a later one, this was out in 2002.

On edit: the latest guide does not show the swift. It seems that when the 204 ruger came out, it replaced the swift.

As a practical matter, N133 is too fast for use in the Swift.

From Lapua's web-page you can find latest version of Vihtavuori reloading manual.

Hopefully this address works:

Thanks, but there are no entries for 220 Swift in current edition. See mgoodrich's reply above.
