some of you long time reloaders please help me here. my gunsmith friend gave me a five gallon bucket of once-fired brass that he has used for testing. in this i found two things that i had never seen before.
1) 250 savage brass with the head stamped " REM-UMC 250HP"
2) 250 savage brass head stamped "250-3000 SA CORP

The REM-UMC brass is Remington, from the days when Remington an dUnion Metallic Cartridge were one.

The SA brass is Savage Arms, when they marketted ammunition.

Yes....and there was a whole pooppot of the Rem UMC made but the cases marked SA might be collectable.

I've seen very few of them ever.
