I've got another bug under my hat to try using Lil gun in a light bullet loading for the 7.62 X 39. Specifically the Hornady 110 grain V-MAX. From looking at the applications in manufacturer's manual it would appear to be a worth while endeavour, so what should be a range of charge weights? Yes, I know it's out there... Li'l Gun is not one of the powders modeled in QuickLoad, at least not as of the early 2005 update I have. Even if it were, QL is not accurate enough to predict how one combination of powder+primer+bullet will behave. NO SOFTWARE IS. QL will give you a good idea of the performance a cartridge can obtain, and it will give you a good idea of which class of powder will do so, but it cannot identify which set of components to use. Sorry. | |||
