| My go-to load for 5.56 is putting Win 748 behind a 60 grain Hornady SP bullet into Lake City 5.56 brass, and a CCI #400 primer. I won't tell you the charge weight I am using, as I worked this load up for my AR15 and it may or may not be safe in another firearm.

55g Hornady spbt fmj or 55g V-max(both shoot to same point@ 100 yds) with 26.5g Varget = 2900 - 3050 fps depending on bbl length. YMMV |

| 19 grains of IMR 4198/H 4198 with a 50 or 52 Sierra bullet. Crazy accurate in my Remington 700.

| My standard load for both my .223s is 24gr LT-32 with either a 40gr VMax (Stevens 200)or 40gr NBT (Savage LRPV).
With those loads, respectively, both rifles are capable of placing 5 bullets in 0.5 MOA. (The shooter - me - sometimes less capable.) |
