If the 25-06 is hard on brass, then would the 25-06AI alleviate the brass stetching? I ask this because I do not know which caliber to build, The 257AI or the 25-06AI. It will be used for hunting and target shooting. This will be my first building of a rifle. Thanks in advance

I've built both and my preference is for the 25-06AI,without reservation. It simply screams and really delivers the goods.

What action are you going to base it upon?............

I am looked into the Cetzch mauser rifles that are coming over new. Several dealers have said they are a good strong action with good materials.
They said to put the barrel of my choice and have the bolt squared and trued. Any thoughts and opinions will be most welcome. What kind of barrel and twist? What type of rifling, brouch, ream or forged? Which will give the best life and accuracy. Up to 120grain bullets will be used. Thanks again. jimjam
