I seem to have trouble finding powders slow enough to fill the case and run 140's at top speed, even retumbo seemed too fast, I have some h870 but it seems to me more temp sensitive than I would like, so far ramshot magnum has been my best powder, but I would like something even slower than that and was thinking about h50bmg in times when one needs a rifle, he tends to need it very badly.....PHC | ||

The .264 always disappointed me with 140 grain bullets but one can push 130 grainers at 3,300 using Win Supreme 780 link /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." I've been thinking for several months that Hodgen's new 869 might be a near match for the old H870 but nobody has tried it. The old 870 was perfect for my 264, nothing else I've tried (Retumbo, H1000, 4831, etc) is as good. Anybody out there tried 869???
