Would some copy paste the .308 winchester 180 grain only data here for me.....I use it a lot and need to make some more ammo but can't seem to get that website to load on my computer.

Thanks a bunch

Here's what I did:

On Google, I typed:

Hodgdon powder load data, the first address was hodgdon.com

Went to hodgdon website.

"DATA" was a tab, I clicked that. The second choice was "Reloading Data Center" I clicked that

On the next opened page, you scroll to center and click "I agree"

Next page offers 2 choices in the center:

"Cartridge loads" and "Shotshell loads"

Click the first one.

The top of the next page reads:

Reloading Data Center-Cartridge. There are 2 drop boxes. One reads:

"Load type" and the one to its right reads, "cartridge"

on the drop box menu under "cartridge" scroll to "308 Winchester" Then click "Get data" which is under the first drop box to the left under "load type"

Vapo, I've found the Hodgdon site to undergo frequent changes. In fact, when I just clicked on the link I had saved for their home page, the home page had changed. I went to it at it's new address, and the page itself had changed quite a bit. This alone can cause issues when trying to access the page or pages you want, especially if you have it bookmarked and it has changed. I think the key is they want you to have to click on the 'warning/acknowledgement' gateway all the time, instead of bookmarking around this page. One other thing is that the reloading center especially is very data intensive, and is slow to load and function, even if you have a very fast computer with lots of free memory and what is called 'cache' if your computer is older, full of data, or has limited cache, some pages nowadays are so data intensive they won't even function.....

Two things to try are to go to the my computer page on your computer, and look for 'System Tools' and run both the 'Disk Cleanup' utility, and the 'Defragment' utility. These two might help, and lastly, you can delete your temporary internet files, and even any cookies you don't need---if you need some help on this PM me, I am far from an expert, but these are some of the basics I have learned being one of the only BARELY computer literate folks at our small company. The temporary internet files can really get out of hand if you don't purge them from time to time, as well as the cookies--which are in themselves temporary internet files!

Maybe I have a popup blocker that is stopping this....maybe someone can tell me how to fix this if this is the problem.

Here's a direct link to the cartridge load data

If that doesn't work, then right click on "Reloading Data Center" and select the "open link in new window" option.

If those don't work, I don't know.

Yuman,
Thanks for the effort....that too is not working for me

The thing that really confuses me is I accessed that data bank 100's of times until about a week ago....I emailed Hodgdon about it but did not get a reply.

Have you completely cleared your temporary internet files/internet cache? Sometimes that works when you have a site hanging up that way.

I have had problems before with not being able to access my email site. I had to restore my computer to an earlier date. It is done by clicking start, then control panel. You should see a link for System Restore. Restore it to the closest previous checkpoint. You shouldnt lose any recent files as it just restores settings, but i would first back up anything important. Good Luck

Go find a good, solid, tall, brick wall.

Stand approximately 10 feet away, holding your computer in hand.

Raise computer arms length above head. Begin running towards wall while using momentum to thrust computer at wall.

At about 6 feet, release computer.

Then, take remains to closest rifle range....load up the heaviest bullet per caliber in every rifle you own.

Launch one bullet per rifle at the remains, especially the hard drive.

Take $500 and go buy a new Dell.

Try Hodgdon.com again.

I like this idea a lot! It's not quite the same, but you know sometimes you're looking for a 'reason' to buy a rifle---You have a good reason to buy a new computer!

It seems you're using Internet Explorer. If so, try downloading and installing FireFox. I used IE for YEARS, but have recently switched to FF. Much better, mostly.

Might get you on at Hodgdon's.

Check this site for info concerning the "hosts" file.

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial51.html

If some program put the Hodgdon address into this file, you will not be able to access it. It's a longshot, but worth looking into.

Are you having trouble at home, at work, or both? All computers in whichever location(s) or only one?

Vapo-

I've posted all the Hodgdon .308 data here. It's the file named 308 Load Data Hodgdon. To download it, click the little down arrow on the right.

Good luck with the computer issue. It looks like a real stumper.
