I am considering a 375/338 for a Browning BLR takedown project. I know the 375 Ruger is a factory round, but I am concerned with feeding issues. I have collected a fair amount of data, but I am looking at just a few more powders, for both 300 grain and 270 grain bullets. I think the 375/338 is now in Quickload, could someone please run Norma 202, CFE 223, W760/H414, and Vihtavuori N550? Thanks, Arnie

Hi Arnie, If you ultimately decide on a bolt gun rather than a BLR, I have a 375/358 Norma mag. which is almost identical to the 375/338 exceot that the cartridge neck is a hair longer. I have used formed 338 brass with no problems. The rifle is built on a pre-64 Model 70 with exceptional factory wood. The barrel is 25" and could be cut to your specs when the take down conversion is done. Due to age and health issues, my big game hunting days are over. As far as take downs and switch barrels, I will be getting rid of a custom 6.5 x 55 Norseman take down, a unfired two barrel Blaser R84 with 375 H&H and 7 Rem mag. barrels, and a R93 with 375H&H, 7 Rem mag, and 30-06 barrels. The 375H&H barrel has a muzzle brake. If you have any interest in these, let me know and I can send you more details and pics. Sorry, do not have loading data for the powders you listed as I used IMR 4320, and IMR 4895. Geoff Shooter
