Handloading the Swift & .22-250 Rem.

From a handloading perspective, does either the .220 Swift or .22-250 Remington have an advantage over the other one?

From what I've seen the .220 Swift entitles you to certain bragging rights around the campfire, but a varmint in the crosshairs is in equal danger with either at any given distance.

Only on paper.....in the real world they are identical.....further...many would be surprised how well the 223 fares in this light as well.

Although both are capable of fine accuracy, I believe the consensus among knowledgeable handloaders that it's easier to get the 22-250 to shoot accurately than the 220 Swift. Justifiably or not, the 220 Swift has more of a reputation of being a barrel burner as well.
