steve4102221 FireBall Bullet Selection.
I just picked up a CZ 527 in 221 FireBall. It has a 1/12 twist. What bullet weight do you think will be a good starting point for this rifle.
Thanks.

RareBearJust wondering if anyone has tried the 30 grain Bergers in a .221 Fireball?

STINGERimho the 30gr is too light for this country, by that i mean any where the wind blows a lot, and would fly around like fernandos screw ball.
they lose speed in a hurry also.

ManCannonI've had excellent success with Hornady's V-Max 40gr out of my Fireball. Cheap, accurate, and very effective on a variety of varmints
