looking at building a 22-6mm. I would appreciate any feedback on this cartridge.

Now, is your intention just to neck down a 6mm case to .224? Or, are you interested in the .22/6/40?

If all you want to do is neck down a case, then there are tons of them out there.

Thanks for the reply. I am not really sure. I would like a flat shooter with the 80 grain Sierra as it has a bc of .440. Was looking for a no recoil companion for my 300ackley so I could practice long range shots without getting into a fight. should hopefully have similar +2.85 at 100, zero 300, around 8-9" low @400 and -21-22 at 500.

A mate of mine had the 22/6mm Rem Improved. It had a 28 inch straight barrel and neck turned chamber.

From memory his load was around the 50 grain mark of H4831 with 80 grain Sierras and 80 grain JLKs, Velocity was right at 3500, some shots just under and some just over.

The JLKs shot slightly better at 100 yards and the Sierras were a bit better on a target at 800 yards.
