Welcome to AR.
While I have not tried them in my 300 Mag I do know that for several years, 1000 yard shooters always used IMR 4350 in the 30/338, the 300 Win Mag and in the 308 Norma Mag.
A buddy of mine used it in his 300 Win Mag, and on several occasions we could cover the groups at 1000 yards with the palm of our hand. This was on "no wind" days.
Start at about 66 grains with 180 grain bullets.

My guess is that should be your velocity at the 500 yard line.

bt

This is my load, start lower and work up

180 gr Barnes Triple Shock
76.5 gr RL22
Norma brass
Fed 215M primers
.03" off lands

The 2nd group is 4 shots in one hole, the holes at the bottom are from another rifle that was shooting high at the lower target.

300 win mags, TSX's, RL22 - best in about 4 different 300's I load for

180gr Bullets and RL-22 are the way to go. 75 to 77 grs will be your max depending on throating etc.. I've had excellent luck with Partitions, TSX's and Accubonds in this combination...............DJ

Burnttoast,

I think you are having Chrono Problems.

Is that load not really hot in your rifle? I get a sticky bolt w/ any more than 71 grns of H4831 and the 200s. I can't imagine going to 75+ in this rifle I can't even get that high w/ 180s.

Anyhow, my best loads so far have been w/ regular H4831 and 190 MKs or 180 Hdy HPBTs(discontinued) w/ 73 grains unde reither bullet it's a one ragged hole shooter at 100 and you can cover the groups w/ a quarter at 200 sometimes a nickel if I'm not too jittery. Velocity is about 2900 at 12' w/ both bullets.

Good Luck!

I have loaded for 3 different rifles in 300 win. 1 rifle liked IMR 7828, and the other 2 like RL-22. These loads with 180 grain bullets.
I would agree that your chroney is giving you problems, I can not imagine your rifle is actualy giving you such slow speed with that load. ...tj3006

My standard losd is 76 grs. of RL-22, my chronograph tells me its right up there and accuracy is great and it has worked in every 300 WM that I have tried it in..I use Fed 215s, WW brass...

That was the first time i used it. Fresh battery,15' from muzzle, clear day no wind.I thought it was shooting in MPS instead of FPS,so i switched and it came in at 960. i dont know,i am going to try some H1000 behind NOS 180gr. Ballistic and CCI LR. Then ill try "WOODS" recipe 180 gr

Barnes Triple Shock
76.5 gr RL22
Norma brass
Fed 215M primers
.03" off lands

Ill let you know, thanks to all

Start lower and work up, Magnum61 PM'ed me and said that he was showing pressure signs when getting close to this. Each rifle is different. I'd start at 75.5 gr RL22 which is the Max Load in Nosler #5 Manual. You should be OK there.
