hi all been shootin 50 gr nosler bt in my remmy 700 1 in 12. well i want to try a 55 grain bullet. the problem is, mathamtically it seems like the bullet length is perfect, but when i get to the range, it is a different story. should i try to get really high fps or much slower fps. examples would be great. thanks lojack

1:12 twists should have no trouble at all stabilizing a 55 Grain bullet..... Specifically what problems are you seeing at the range.....are you seeing keyholing?

Maybe your rifle just doesn't like that 55 gr bullet. It should not be an issue of stabilization, and speed should not be critical. Only 55's my guns don't like are the FMJ's, as they tend to be junk for accuracy.
