I'm loading leftover .458 405 gr Remington JSP (RN) that I have left over from a bulk buy during my 45-70 days and just wish to shoot them away.
I am loading them into Norma brass for my 458WM 68.0 gr IMR 3031/Fed 215 primer.
The OAL max is 3.340 in my book, I am having to seat them to 3.15 to get them to cycle in my Mauser 98 action. And still they hang up once in awhile.
*Is this too deep? Or could I seat them to 3.10?
I'm kinda new to reloading anything other than my 223 & 30-06

As long as the bullet does not fall into the case you are not seating them to deep. Dont seat them any deeper than the ogive (where the nose turns to .458 diam) cheers
