I bought a box of the new .308 Accubonds to try out in my 30-06. I'm quite pleased w/ the results. I tried H4895 and H380 during the last week and I've settled on the H380. Both powders shot less than an inch at 100. I chose 380 simply because I have a pound thats needs to be burnt. W/ Win. Brass, Federal 215 M primers, and 53 grains of H380 this ole' 06' will shoot sub MOA at 200 which is pretty good for this rifle. I think this will be one heck of a Whitetail load. If you have been thinking of trying out these new 150s, don't hesitate, I think you'll like em'. I think I'll try them in 300 winnie next. Good Luck! Reloader

Reloader How fast were they going? Reloader--it may not be important to you but that load of 53.0 H380 under a 150 is really a mild load. Hodgdons' website says a max of 59.0 is possible. My quickload program predicts only about 2725 fps out of that load. None of my business as you've found a good shooting load but there sure looks like room for more speed if you want to try for it.

Woods, I only plan on shooting average sized whitetails w/ this load so, I don't think SD is going to be a big concern. If the 150 Ballistic tips will do it, these ought to do it alittle better. Kraky, I do think I'll speed them up and see how accuracy goes. I also saw that on Hogdon's site, they were predicting around 3000 fps w/ that 59 grain load. The loads I used w/ H4895 (49 grns) should be around 2950. That's what the velocity was w/ the regular BTs. I didn't have my chrony at this session but, I'll get a reading on em' when I get a chance. The 4895 loads were grouping in the high .6s so, I may just consider using them instead of burning up this 380. Lots of time to change it alittle before deer season . Good Luck! Reloader
